As Independence Day quickly approaches, cities and towns across the Capital Region in upstate New York are gearing up for a weekend filled with parades, fireworks displays, and other exciting events. From Albany to Ticonderoga, there are numerous celebrations planned to honor this important day in American history.
In Amsterdam, the Independence Day Fest sponsored by DANVANN will take place on July 3 at Riverlink Park, featuring food trucks, music, and a spectacular fireworks show in the evening. Berne will also be hosting a celebration on June 29 with fireworks, ice cream, and pony rides at Berne Memorial Town Park. Bethlehem's Family Day on July 4 will include performances by various artists and a fireworks display at Elm Avenue Pool Complex.
In Bolton Landing, a 4th of July Celebration on July 4 will feature live music, magicians, and fireworks at Rogers Memorial Park. Meanwhile, the Village of Catskill will be hosting their celebration on July 6 at Dutchmans Landing with live music and fireworks. The Town of Clifton Park will have a Fourth of July Celebration at Clifton Common, including a parade and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Corinth's annual Independence Day fireworks display will take place on July 6 at dusk at the schools River Street field. Glens Falls will host a Summer Pops Concert on July 3 at Crandall Park, followed by fireworks at dusk. Hague will have a celebration on July 4 at Hague Town Park, with a performance by Barkeater band and fireworks in the evening.
Hudson Falls and Kingsbury are teaming up for a 4th of July Celebration on July 4 at The 1925 Barn, featuring various activities and a fireworks display. Lake George will be hosting a fireworks display on July 4 at Shepards Park, while Northville's DOINS celebration will be from July 4 through 6 with entertainment, food, and a parade.
The City of Pittsfield in Massachusetts will be holding various events leading up to the Fourth of July, including a car show, parade concert, and a 5K road race. Salem will host a 4th of July Parade and Carnival on July 4, while Saratoga Springs will have an All American Celebration with live music and fireworks at dusk. Rotterdam Junction will hold an Independence Day Celebration at the Mabee Farm Historic Site on July 3, with games, activities, and fireworks after dark.
Scotia will have its annual Independence Day Fireworks Show on June 28 in Collins Park, featuring live music and a Water Ski Show by the U.S. Water Ski Show Team. Stillwater's Browns Beach at Saratoga Lake will have fireworks on July 6 at dusk, and Ticonderoga will host its Best 4th in the North celebration from July 1 to July 4, including a parade and fireworks at dusk. Waterford will wrap up the celebrations with fireworks on July 5 at the Hurst Harbor Center, starting with music at 6 p.m.
